Summaryhe year is 2044. A group of killers known as "Loopers" work for the Mob, they operate from the year 2074. The Mob blinfolds it's victims and sends them 30 years back in time where a "Looper" awaits to finish him or her off. One "Looper" recognizes the victim as himself from the future and hesitates, resulting in the escape of his old self.
Plotime travel was invented in the year 2070 and was immediately banned. Tracking and surveillance technology had become so advanced that it was difficult for the Mob to dispose of their victims bodies. The "Loopers" were not supposed to hesitate even if the victim was their old self. This is known as "Closing a loop", a "Looper" killing it's own future self. The world was a beautiful place until a "Looper" recognized his victim as himself from future and hesitated.
Review:First of all, the story is completely original and adds something new to the Science- Fiction category. Being original earns "Looper" a big plus in my opinion. The story is very well constructed and The Director/Writer has successfully transferred it to the big screen. The actors are fantastic. There is enough in the movie to make people believe that this can be our near future and the technology on display can be a few logical steps along the road. All in all, a good action packed thriller with a great and completely unique storyline. A must watch on my list.
