Summary:
Ichigo Kurosaki is a high school student but not a normal one because he holds the mystical ability to see ghosts. Since his childhood, he has been able to see spirits. Ichigo's life takes a wild and completely unexpected turn when one day he and his two sisters are attacked by an evil and tormented spirit known as Hollow. But just in time, a Soul Reaper (also known as Shinigami/Death God) named Rukia Kuchiki helps them. A Soul Reaper's duties are to send good spirits (known as Pluses) to the afterlife known as Soul Society and also to fight and purify hollows and send them to Soul Society. Unfortunately, during the fight Rukia is injured. So she transfers her powers to Ichigo in order to save them all. And here begins Ichigo's journey as a Soul Reaper to maintain the balance between the world of the living and the dead.
Review:
Bleach is an action anime. The action in here is utterly stylish and fast paced. Once you start watching, the storyline will just leave you wanting more and more and even more. All the characters have good personality and are detailed. The detailing in the characters is so good that they almost seem real. At the end of each episode, all you will have to think of is "What is next?" and that the story is really good. Each episode reveals something new and takes you deeper and deeper inside the Bleach Universe. Your level of addiction to this show is just going to go higher and higher each time you try to anticipate it's twists and turns. Bleach is just an awesome anime and has a lot of action, comedy and drama. Bleach has been built for drama, plot twists and character development. Pure addiction is all you can expect once you start watching this show.
And a friendly advice in the end, if you don't find the first episode interesting, then please stay along with the show till 15th episode at least. You will thank me for the advice later.

The -1.5 in the rating is just because of the "Filler" episodes. These are the episodes which are not a part of the original story line. They were made to give the writer "Kubo Tite", time to complete the original story.
