Hey guys do you love horror movies? Horror movies are not easy to make, nor are they all scary enough - in fact, sometimes some horror movies turn out to be funny. But there have been movies which have really scared us and have really made people think twice before going to the bathroom alone at night! So Guys here I'm bringing you some of the scariest horror movies ever made.

1. Psycho

One of Alfred Hitchcock's masterpieces, 'Psycho' is the quintessential horror movie about a serial killer. The story revolves around a young woman involved in cash embezzlement. The movie is immortalized by the iconic shower and murder scene.

2. The Exorcist

One of the most well known horror movies of all time, 'The Exorcist' is the story of a girl who is possessed by an evil spirit who refuses to leave her body in spite of several rituals and methods undertaken by an exorcist to make it flee the girl's body. The movie is undoubtedly scary with some scenes where the girl's head turns full 360 degrees, the noises she makes while being possessed and the various things the evil spirit makes the girl do.

3. Alien

This sci-fi horror movie set in the future is about a mining spaceship that lands on a distant planet. The crew of the ship then set out to explore the planet where they find a strange creature which then sticks to the mouth of one of them. The creature then makes it way to the spaceship as the crew member is carried to the ship where it lays an offspring in the most gruesome way and causing playing havoc. With an alien monster with acid for blood, and classic acting by actors like Sigourney Weaver, Alien is an all time classic horror movie.

4. The Sixth Sense

Directed by M. Night Shyamalan, 'The Sixth Sense' is about a boy who can communicate with dead people. The boy seeks the help of a child psychologist not knowing that the dead people he is communicating with are dead. Not the atypical horror flick, 'The Sixth Sense' has a different undertone and a message, unlike other horror movies.

5. Hostel

This 2005 horror movie is not about ghosts or any monsters. It is very much about human beings, and still it is one of the most horrifying movies ever made! It has been reported that some viewers at the movie theater suffered from unconsciousness and heart-related issues when they saw some of the gruesome scenes and had to be taken away to the hospital. Hostel is about a club which promotes manslaughter and offers the chance of torturing and killing someone at a price. The scenes of torture and dissection of live human beings with knives, axes, saws and electric drills can make anyone sick. Risk!

6. The Mist

The Mist is a sci-fi horror movie which involves a town being scoured by deadly unearthly creatures that appear out of a thick mist. The towns inhabitants are trapped in a supermarket where they lock themselves in so as to escape the monsters ravaging outside and strive to fight the creatures that try to enter the supermarket
