Many years ago, Cartoon Network ceased to look and play an image geared only to children.

Despite continuing with the same cartoons and the same colors, Many cartoons and scenes are aimed at the adult audience. However, one of the designs for a more mature age group that has been very successful is Rebecca Sugar's Work, Steven Universe.

When the feature film starts, Steven grew up and is 16 years old. After struggling to establish peace and suffering hard to change the outdated concepts of Diamonds, he just wants to go home and have peaceful moments with family and friends. The film gives a brief flashback of each character's past, something that helps anyone watching the movie without knowing all the seasons of the cartoon, and also gives a new and full taste of Easter eggs to longtime fans. But all this quiet is hampered by the arrival of Spinel, a villain who threatens to end all life on Earth, including Steven and his friends.

Speaking more about the villain, Spinel has a large, prominent staff that would read, ''You reap what you sow.'' The feature itself clearly shows a Gem that has been abandoned and hurt by its own feeling.

Suffering for this loneliness, she bitter feelings of hatred and presents danger and revolt against all Steven's Gems and Friends, Including Steven Himself (Also called Pink Diamond)

But Spinel's inner desire was a very captivated and desired desire: ''To be loved and loved by all.''

Despite this strong feeling, What Rebecca wants to go through was much more than expected, and can be summed up in just ''Only You Can Change What You Feel''

Despite all the repression and injustice Spinel suffered, only Spinel can end and overcome the bitter feeling in her heart instead of transmitting it to everyone and everything.

Involved in the middle of the story, with the loss of the memories of Pearl, Amethyst and Garnet it is up to Steven to remember and recreate all the memories of Love, Acceptance and Compassion taught throughout the drawing.

The second biggest point of the short was Steven's change, and his main thought: ''Why did something so good that could last for eternity turn to ashes of the Past?''

One of the things Rebecca wanted to go through mainly with Steven's growth was that everything goes through changes and changes being them, great and bad times.

One thing much suppressed throughout the drawing was the death of Rose Quartz and the feeling of freedom it offered, which was rumbling open during parts of the film that confirm many actions about the character's life and her own pearl.

Reviewer's Rating: Excellent!
