Day by day, cricket spread its root to every part of the globe. Cricket has now become a very entertaining sport and this 20 over format has added some spice to this sport. The shorter version has gained a lot of popularity. This year ''ICC World twenty20'' is going to hold in INDIA. From 8th March to 3rd April this exciting tournament will take place in 7 different cities in India. These are - New Delhi, Bangalore, Kolkata, Nagpur, Dharmasala, Mohali and Mumbai. The Final will be held in Eden Gardens at Kolkata.
In two different phases this tournament will happen. Total 16 countries will participate. Top 8 countries in ICC ranking will automatically qualify for super 10 and other 8 countries will fight for 9th & 10th places. This top 10 countries will compete with each other. Top two teams from each group will qualify for the semi-final. From 8th -13 March qualifying round will be played in Dharmasala and Nagpur. From 15th March the main game will start.
Group 1: England, West Indies, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan.
Group 2: India, Australia, Pakistan, New Zealand, Bangladesh.
