(Photo not found) The celebration of the New Year is always celebrated in most Countries on the last day of the year for the first day of the year, this tradition has been followed by Centuries. In my country it is not so different, as like Christmas we gather the whole family for this date. Here in Brazil, people usually celebrate the arrival of the New Year on the beaches. One of the most popular beaches is the Copacabana's beach in Rio de Janeiro, about three million people gather to watch the firework displays that lasts more than ten minutes for the arrival of the New Year. This event is broadcast on National television and has won international recognition for being one of the biggest New Year's celebrations in the world. (Photo not found) Copacabana's Beach There are also a lot of superstitions that people believe this date brings, as usual, most use the color white to bring peace and prosperity; Yellow to attract money and health and red (I've used once) for the year which starts really hot!
