A Night to Remember

Clowns. Don’t you just hate them? I don’t understand how people find them entertaining and they actually like them! excuse me but there's nothing funny or likable about them especially their big scary red lips that look like they want to take a bite from your head or their laughs and giggles I mean when I hear it feels like it's a warning that their coming for me and their clothes. Don’t get me started on their outfits. Sorry but they're not my cup of tea.

So, you can guess how happy I was when I heard that there were clown sightings in my town. I was just so ecstatic. Please note my sarcasm.

It was one night I was just minding my business when all of a sudden I heard screams and saw girls running. I paid no mind to it because I thought it was just a bunch of boys playing games and pranking them. But boy was I wrong.

As the screams deceased and the street began to get quiet again I continued my walk, I brought my phone and started scrolling through my Facebook account, liking my friends' pictures and commenting on some of them. I heard foot steps behind me but I ignored because obviously, I'm not the only one who's is going to use this street, that is until we passed all the houses that people lived in, you see my house was at the end of the block so I'm the only who was left walking and usually I was alone but unless we magically had new neighbors that I didn’t know about this person was following. I quickened my pass and noticed that the footsteps sounded quicker. My eyes widened and my blood froze at the realization.
Someone was following me.
I started jogging and then I was running and let me tell you I've never ran this fast not since my brother took my candy bar from me when I was 11. I heard a giggle before that person started running as well. Don’t look back. Don’t look back I kept repeating in my head but I did look back and I wish I didn’t.

There was a big clown with torn clothes and a smile so big and creepy I could swear I felt my sweat trail down my back, and to make matters worse he was holding a knife in his hand.

But I quickly turned my head and ran even faster. I could see the lights of my house at the end of the road. I was close to safety. A shriek left my lips as I felt an arm grab me and yank me back so forcefully I hit the ground. Tears welled up in my eyes as I stared at what could probably be the last face I ever see. The clown was nearing me and his knife was getting closer to tear my skin. But then I heard a laugh behind me and the clown started laughing as well. I looked around me in confusion but it soon turned to anger as I saw the clown removing his mask revealing my best friend Mark and three of my friends came out of the trees behind me laughing and filming me.
