Do you know what I do when I'm feeling blue? I always think about special times I've had with my grandpa. He is a great person. I think the best time I ever had with my grandpa was on my tenth birthday. For my present, he took me fishing. We rented our boat and bought some bait. We went off on one of the greatest adventures I have ever experienced. Since I was just ten, Grandpa put a hook on my line and put a big, fat, juicy worm on the end of the hook. I pushed the button and let the line fly. I waited and waited and WAITED until I just couldn't wait anymore. My head was about to explode. I decided to bring in my line and try casting again, but as soon as I began winding the reel, I felt a little tug. Then I felt a stronger tug. Suddenly, the bobber disappeared under the water, and my line, stretched as tight as a tightrope, raced away from the boat. I started screaming at the top of my lungs," I've got something!" "Keep it steady, son." My grandpa said. That fish was strong, and it was really moving! It pulled so hard on the rod, I was afraid I'd lose my grip. I yelled to Grandpa in a panicky voice, "What do I do now?" He answer calmly, "Tire the fish out, and give it some line to take." I fought that fish for ten long minutes. Grandpa just kept saying, "Keep it steady. Keep it steady." I was the one getting tired, not the fish, but I was determined to get it into the boat. Finally, I saw it! The fish was right next to the boat and only about six inches from the surface. After I got the fish into the boat, a sigh of relief came out of my mouth. My grandpa set the fish on the scale and said proudly, "Ten pounds and two ounces!" Here's the best part. Not only did I get to spend the day with my grandpa, but he saw me catch a huge fish.
