The mind gives orders,
But heart doesn't always obey,
The mind puts up borders while the heart tries to cross them in every way.
You are the only one I want to be with.

My mind said he considers me like everyone,
My heart can't forget your promises,
While my mind says move on.

Your love is like a spear sticking in my heart,
My mind trying to remove it,
My heart said it would die if we were apart,
I can't stop their conflict.

My mind tells me to get some pride,
My heart is on fire screaming I need him,
My mind continues to chide,
Do I have to be with my mind's wisdom or follow my heart's whim?

I love you must be sure,
Even if I got rejected by you,
My heart would always endure,
Because you are not only my love,
But a part of me too.
