I asked God to remove my bad habits,
But God said No;
It is for you to act out.

I asked God to grant me patience,
But God said No;
It is for you to decide and to cultivate.

I asked God to shower on me knowledge,
But God said No;
It is for you to attain it through your efforts.

I asked God to give me happiness,
But God said No;
It is for you to seek and find it.

I asked God to give me all pleasures,
But God said No;
It is for you to enjoy life.
