All alone with our heartbreaks
Clinging onto our chests,
In a desperate attempt to hold together
Torn bits of what is left.

With centers so deeply open
All of us risks to fall outside,
So we put our hero on—catch ourselves
And all parts of us, back inside.

Stitches running across our chests
It is a beautiful sight,
To know someone loved so much
They've died a little and yet still try,
To stay alive.
