Today I'm writing about the 3 very important and "must read" books I was able to read this week. I want to say in advance the list is based on my opinions and I will appreciate if you share your favorite books on comments below.

"The Color Purple" by Alice Walker

This book can become an useful guide through American history in 1930s where black nation faced the toughest time - segregation. While reading this book I was getting angry about how even black people could segregate other black people. In my opinion, the author highlights the limited rights of women. Men have been treating them as nothing for a very long time. The book didn't leave you without tears. Abuses, rape, happiness and joy came together to this book to open your eyes and show the reality of those times.
It's interesting to know about "The Color Purple":
* The author was awarded by Pulitzer Prize!
* The book celebrated 30 years a few days ago!
* Purple is the hardest color for your eyes to distinguish! Isn't it interesting? Do you also think the author wanted to target those problems which other people wanted to be invisible?

"On The Road" by Jack Kerouac

The plot of the book is based on traveling experience of Jack Kerouac in America. To me "On The Road" is a great source of wisdom from the man discovering his own country. It gave me an understanding what the life looks like out of we used to know. The book teaches you to be bit delirious going through the big road "Life". I had a chance to read the Kerouac's book when I was 15. But only by present time I can understand what he meant.
I highly recommend this book to everyone who feels lost in their lives to see a new view from this great author.

Did you know that?
* One of the most criticized book! He was blamed by words "that's not about writing, that's just typing".
*You can also notice there is a letter of love to pie and ice cream.

"A Clockwork Orange" by Anthony Burgess

Have you already read this book? No!? You still have a chance to touch such amazing kind of book. I was highly recommended "A Clockwork Orange" several times by my friends and my mom. I was ignoring them knowing that was going to be tough to read.
Page by page you're going back to those times which author describes enthusiastically. The story was told by main character Alex in a specific manner of speaking. The book is about good and evil, the definition of freedom and human being.
I've read in the article that the author was seriously sick and he wrote the book remembering the hardest times in his life - the loss of his wife.

Some facts about "A Clockwork Orange
* Stanley Kubrick made the film based on the Burgess's book.
* One of the best 100 English books by the magazine "Time".

I think much more books can leave you breathless. It's just about a few books I have been reading during a last week. Thank you very much for your attention. I'm waiting to find out about your favorite books.
