From the Perspective of the Drawing. Unusual Ties Between Creator and His Brainchild. I am a drawing of a kitten; you might be surprised that I’m talking to you. Don’t worry, you are normal. I am just a painting with a soul that wants to tell the story of its life. I was created by Augustus Pokewhistle. While creating me my father was smiling. Thanks to my birth Augustus won a prize. I loved my father and wanted to stay with him but he went to another city and left me alone. Very soon Augustus began to draw portraits. But he didn’t succeed in it. That’s why he started drawing nature. Unfortunately, other people didn’t want to buy paintings with the view from the back and front windows of his house. After that, Dad began to paint for money. I felt sorry for him. It looked like he forgot his soul. Augustus tried to draw funny pictures for the newspapers, advertisements, clothes, pianos and bottles. But all of these pictures were sent back to him. You may wonder why I know so much about my creator’s life. The answer is simple. From the very birth I have always had a dream to be as close as possible to Dad. I’d like to tell you my little secret. Many years ago one young lady bought me and took to her house. You won’t believe me but I saw daddy in the window which was right across my new room. That’s a slice of good luck! So, for all these years I have been hanging on the wall watching and observing my father’s actions and my father’s life. I wanted to give daddy a sign that he was not alone. I was always by his side. Augustus created and gave me the most important things in this world – his love, soul and, finally, life. And now I want to share all these things with him. Dad told the man from the furniture shop that he would never rise from his bed; that his heart had been broken and that nothing could help him. But I have a desire to argue my father out of this silly opinion. My dear daddy, I’m overwhelmingly grateful for being your child even though you wanted me to be a sunset… I’m returning you all your love. I won’t be able to live, feel and speak any more. I’ll turn into an ordinary painting. But…everything is OK. Father, I bless you for all the happiness, pleasure and enjoyment I have had in my life! It was such an honour for me to be your child! ... Don’t worry about me… I was born a little kitten but I am dying as a true tiger. ~~~~ Автор: я6 0
