No-bake Chocolate Biscuit Cake

This delicious decadent cake is very easy to make. You don't even have to switch on the oven! So it's suitable for beginners.

Let's make cake!
Ingredients:
280g Digestive or Rich Tea biscuits 
250g Good quality dark chocolate
175g Butter
2 Tablespoons Golden Syrup
210g Assorted chopped nuts, dried fruit, Maltesers, marshmallows ... use your imagination! 

Method:
1. Wrap the biscuits in a clean tea towel and bash to crumbs with a rolling pin.
2. Melt the chocolate, butter and golden syrup in a bowl over a pan of boiling water or in the microwave.
3. Stir in the biscuits and other ingredients. 
4. Spoon the mixture into a greased baking tin, pressing it down with the back of a spoon until it's level.
5. Put it in the fridge until set. This will take a good couple of hours.
6. When set, turn out from the tin and cut into squares to serve.
