The Black Eyed Peas star wed Josh Duhamel in 2009 and less than a year into their marriage there were reports he had cheated on her with a stripper. In January 2010 the couple renewed their wedding vows and their union is still going strong. Fergie claims their ability to talk to each other is what got them through that difficult period. "We're strong today because of anything difficult that's happened with us. We deal with it. We communicate. Communicating's the most important thing," she tells Oprah Winfrey in an interview airing in the US this weekend. Oprah raised the rumours of Josh's infidelity, asking whether they made Fergie "re-evaluate" her marriage. The 37-year-old singer seemed uncomfortable when discussing the topic, admitting it was one of the most "difficult" periods she has been through. She added it did make her think hard about her marriage, although she is proud about the way she and her 39-year-old spouse handled things. "Definitely. When you go through difficult times it really makes you stronger as a unit. As a partnership," she said. "It does for us anyways. Our love today is a deeper love." Since they tied the knot, Fergie and Josh have been beset by rumours they are starting a family. He admitted he was looking forward to being a father in June, but in September Fergie slammed people who presume she's pregnant when she's simply relaxed her diet. "People kind of look at me because they're expecting [that] it's that time. We do hope for children and that will be coming up, but not yet," she said.
